Who We Are

Halima Gimbiyar Mambilla Foundation (HGMF) is a registered non-profit organization, duly incorporated as an incorporated trustee with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria. We are committed to driving positive change in Northeastern Nigeria, with our headquarters strategically located in Yola, Adamawa State, and a strong presence in Taraba State.

Founded by a passionate group of young women and men, HGMF is dedicated to improving the lives of women, youth, and vulnerable communities. Our work is grounded in the belief that every individual has the right to live with dignity and fulfill their potential.

We focus on addressing critical issues such as poverty reduction, gender-based violence, health, education, nutrition, and good governance. Through our programs and initiatives, we strive to create sustainable solutions that empower individuals and strengthen communities. By collaborating with government agencies, civil society organizations, and community members, we are building a more resilient and equitable Northeastern Nigeria.

HGMF Governing Structure

The Halima Gimbiyar Mambilla Foundation (HGMF) is led by a Board of Trustees responsible for overall direction of the foundation. The President, reports to the Board, provides executive leadership for the foundation, while, the Executive Director of the foundation  manages daily operations and translates the vision of the board in to programs and projects, the ED supervises the Director of Programs, Operations, Director of Finance,Director of MEAL, and Director of HR/Admin and the ED reports to the President.

HGMF comprises four main departments:

  • Programs: Oversees grants, advocacy, and project implementation.
  • Operations: Handles field activities, logistics, and security.
  • Finance: Manages financial resources and operations.
  • Human Resources and Administration (HR/Admin): Manages staff-related matters and administrative functions.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEAL): Oversees data collection, analysis, and program impact assessment.
